You Can Innovate Your Conversations

We can have candid conversations.

We can have interesting conversations.

We can have discussions about new ideas, about world events, political beliefs and the existence of aliens.

What’s new in the age of technology, is the way we can have those conversations.

What if we entered into important conversations NOT to solely to state our point of view, but to achieve a mutual goal? And what if that goal is always understanding?

What if for a moment, we let go of our hurt, frustration and oneupmanship so that we can breathe in and out and listen?

What if, in addition to posting opinionated statements, we disrupt ourselves and asked questions that expand our singular world view? And if, after asking those questions, we listened and integrated the answers rather than immediately pushing back? How profound and uncomfortable would that be?

What would happen if we had conversations in a radically conscious and wildly different way? Disruption is supposed to feel uncomfortable.

This un-structure feels like anarchy, and that’s the point. What if we innovate conversations?

How would that world look?
